An explorer of Nepali Literature – Abhinash Shrestha exposed a poster of the movie Satya Harischandra which was supposed to be the first movie in Nepali language. After releasing this poster, the new mystery over history of Nepali Cinema has been opened.
The some mystery and confusion seems to have come reading the history of Nepali Film. But this poster may clear those confusions.
In this poster, there has been written Sangh Rathi as the director of Harischandra. Moreover, Harischandra is its name not Satya Harischandra. In fact, in the Nepali movie history lesson, we used to read and study saying that DB Pariyar is the director of Satya Harischandra.
In the poster, you can see the name TP Chaurasiya and SP Mookherji as the producers list.
Critics and Nepali movie Hostorian are still on division in two sides – one says Harischandra must be credited as first nepali movie whereas another says Aama is the first nepali movie.
