NFDB says to play national anthem before showing any movie
If you are going to any theater in Nepal to watch any movie, thenceforth, you have to know a code of conduct of the theater and ie singing of national anthem. Nepali Film Development Board has made a rule for every theaters that they must play national anthem before starting of any movie either that is Nepali, Hindi or English.
Chairman of National Film Development Board has said that they decided to apply this rule after discussions with Film Union.
According to the pursuant of Film Precept of Law of 2026, NFDB will provide national video in mpeg or 2K version, then film theaters have to obey this task.
NFDB has also confirmed that every year 2 Nepali movie will be chosen as the special movie and they will be participated in the ceremony of foreign movies. “Sunpani” and “12 Nepali Ek Chihan” have been special movie of 2015.
