Over 2 months drought in Nepali film industry, all eyes on Chapali Height 2

Over 2 months, except Gajalu and Kalo Pothi, no Nepali movie could have made successful business in Nepali box office. It has been like a drought in Nepali film industry. Meanwhile, Kalo Pothi and Gajalu had done good business in the box office. Kalo Pothi proved that the story and casting of the actors are major factors to make a movie hit in the box office. In addition, some of the Bollywood and Hollywood movies took away good amount of money from the Nepali box office. Nevertheless, our own Nepali movie did not.
Now Sultan is releasing in many of Nepali theaters. Either in multiplex or in single theaters, Sultan has been spreading all over in Nepal. So that Nepali Film Makers are most probably worried in this time. Over 2 years, many Nepali movies have proved that they are not weaker than any other movies as some of the movies have got very much good appreciation by critics and also audience. They did commercially hit in the box office. For instance, Pashupati Prasad, Jerry, Dreams, Oda No. 6 etc are the admirable movies of Nepali Film Industry.
In such a critical situation in Nepali Film Industry, now all eyes are only on a movie “Chapali Height 2” and that is the movie directed by Dipendra K Khanal. Dipendra K Khanal is a director who changed a course of development strategy of Nepali Film Industry. In fact, his first directed project is first part of Chapali Height, which became commercially hit in the box office but some bold scenes of the movie had to have faced the critics’ demur. And his another movie “Pashupati Prasad” is a historical movie because it dragged people in the theaters till 5th week only by the better story and presentation despite of the weak opening of the movie. Chapali height 2’s official teaser have been already released in the youtube. Within 1 week, it has crossed 3 lakhs more views in youtube. Audience seems more eager to watch the movie as most of the viewers have appreciated the trailer and the acting of new actor Ayushman Joshi.
