Udta Punjab may have been negatively affected by piracy. However, its opening within north Indian seems excellent. Its opening in Delhi is over 50% occupancy. In overall, its occupancy in the first day is 35% approx. Its controversy and censor’s restriction over the movie may have helped for some additional earnings. Hopefully, its opening is almost same of Houseful 3 and Baghi movie.
