Shatru Gate Movie Review – A special message to the youths
The movie “Shatru Gate” has tried to wrap everything in the 2 hours’ time frame. It seems somehow successful to bind audience into the theaters.

What’s good: Comic sense of Haribansh Acharya is smart and more deliberate. Take it on your own risk !
What’s bad: The story is little unconvincing as it has attempted to cover cyber crime, corrupted politics, love story, dowry system, and racial sentiment everything in 2 hours’ time frame. Because audience expect something better from Deepak Raj Giri and MAHA Jodi.

Shatru Gate – Star Performance
There is strong impression of Harivansh although it is after a long gap of him to film, but it was expected. After all he is one of the best actor in Nepali cine industry. The senior actors – Harivansh, Madan Krishna, Ramesh Ranjan Jha, Basundhara Bhusal, Shivahari Poudel etc have performed brilliantly. Paul and Aanchal romance with tragedy is worth to see.
Deepak Raj Giri’s role is initially negative, but comes to end with positive vibes. And his character is relevant with the current time. Priyanka Karki has done well what she has got to do; but she has short role in the movie.
Shatru Gate – Story and Analysis
The story of Shatru Gate is set between two families of Suraj aka Paul Shah and Sandhya aka Aanchal Sharma. They love each other and their families are also ready to get them married. Everything goes well until Rahu enters to the colony. Rahu aka Deepak Raj Giri is a youtuber, who does not care what is right and what is wrong. His only aim is to earn money through youtube. He starts to trouble the whole colony making videos about personal lives of his neighbors intentionally as he only wants to earn money and pay off his house loan. His one video about Sandhya’s father brings clash between Suraj and Sandhya’s family that ends the engagement between Suraj and Sandhya. And the rest of the stories moulded around Suraj and his family’s attempting to repel this clash and make Sandhya marry to Suraj.
It is not always easy to put a message and humor all together in a real time story, but writer Harivansh has succeeded to give a good message and keep laughing factor alive through the deliberate performance of actors. At the times, you feel this is happening nowadays, and the writer has raised the right matters in the front of Camera.
