Ranveer Allahbadia is facing intense backlash over his controversial comment on India’s Got Latent, leading to the removal of the episode from YouTube. In the midst of this controversy, an old video of comedian Tanmay Bhat calling out Ranveer’s “capitalistic” mindset has resurfaced and gone viral.

In the video, Tanmay humorously challenges Ranveer’s claims of spiritual detachment, labeling him a “views-obsessed capitalist.” While Ranveer insists he’s focused on creating content rather than obsessing over outcomes, Tanmay jokingly disagrees, saying, “No one is more views obsessed than you. You only care about the outcome.”

The clip shows Tanmay and Ranveer in a playful exchange, where Ranveer jokes about shaving his head and eyebrows to embrace spirituality. Tanmay, however, urges him to be honest about his reality. He also calls out Ranveer for constantly launching new businesses while promoting spirituality on Instagram, saying, “He is such a big liar. Why are you lying?”

Adding to the criticism, singer B Praak slammed Ranveer for his double standards, questioning his promotion of Sanatan Dharma while hosting spiritual figures on his podcast. B Praak even canceled his appearance on the show in light of the controversy.

The backlash stems from Ranveer’s inappropriate comment on India’s Got Latent, where he asked a contestant a highly disturbing question about watching or participating in sexual acts with their parents. The comment quickly went viral, leading to police complaints. Assam police filed a case against Ranveer and several others involved, including Samay Raina.

In response, Ranveer issued an apology on social media, acknowledging his comment was not only inappropriate but also unfunny. Maharashtra’s Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis also criticized Ranveer’s remarks.
