“Basant” Teaser Unveiled: A Poetic Valentine’s Day Romance

Kathmandu – The teaser for the film “Basant,” directed by singer and actor Prakash Saput, has just been released. The teaser is titled “The Poem of Love” and features a young man reading a poem to win over a woman. The film’s lead roles are played by Saput himself and actress Swastima Khadka.

The makers have described it as a “Valentine’s Day Special Poem,” hoping it will effectively evoke the mood of romance. The teaser is intended to set the perfect tone for the celebration of love.

The film is set for release on Chait 22, coinciding with the celebration of Chait Dashain. Along with Saput and Khadka, the cast includes Prabhat Pal Thakuri, Shri Shibhansi, Urmila Lamgade, Khadkabahadur Pun, Anup Baral, Kamalmani Nepal, and Prakash Ghimire.

The film has been shot in various locations, including Baglung, Kathmandu, and the Terai region. Produced by Galbandi Production, Basant is a social drama where Saput has also penned the screenplay and composed the music.

The story revolves around the struggles of a young man from a poor Dalit family, who dreams of becoming a writer and fights to achieve that goal. The film is produced by Mohan Biskarma and Bindu Bohara, with executive producers Anuradha Bhattrai, Nana Thakali, and Birendra Narayan Shrestha.
