Dhanashree Verma and Yuzvendra Chahal Officially Divorce: “Please Avoid Further Speculation”

Cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal and choreographer Dhanashree Verma have officially finalized their divorce, according to a statement from Chahal’s lawyer, Nitin K Gupta. The divorce was filed by mutual consent and is currently under judicial review at the Bandra Family Court in Mumbai. As the case remains under review, discussing the details publicly is not permitted.

Chahal and his family have opted not to comment on media reports surrounding the divorce, requesting that the public refrain from speculating. Chahal’s lawyer confirmed that the divorce petition has been filed, and further legal steps are being followed.

Earlier, Dhanashree’s family addressed rumors that she had demanded Rs 60 crore in alimony, which they strongly denied. They clarified that no such amount was ever requested, refuting the misinformation and calling for more responsible media reporting.

The rumors of their separation first surfaced in 2023 when Dhanashree dropped ‘Chahal’ from her Instagram name, just a day after Yuzvendra shared a cryptic post saying, “New life loading.” At the time, Yuzvendra had dismissed the rumors and asked fans not to believe the speculation.

Dhanashree and Yuzvendra were married on December 11, 2020. During a past interview, Dhanashree shared how their relationship began during the lockdown when Yuzvendra, frustrated with the lack of cricket matches, decided to learn dance from her after seeing her videos online.
