“Saltini: A Cinematic Journey Against Caste Discrimination, Set for Constitution Day Release”

Kathmandu – The shooting for the film Saltini, starring Prakash Saput and Pariksha Limbu, has been completed. The film, which was shot over 36 days, captures the scenic beauty of Ilam Bazaar, Biblate, Kanyam, Birtamod, Pathari, and Bhojpur.
The film’s final scene was shot in Annapurna Village, Bhojpur, where Pariksha Limbu, Sabbu Gurung, Kavita Ale, Sujata Gurung, and Prem Subba delivered their final performances.
Directed by Arjun Subedi, the film will now enter the editing phase. Subedi shared that the film would offer a unique experience to the audience, as it addresses the rampant inhumanity and caste discrimination prevalent in society.
The cast includes Prakash Saput, Wilson Bikram Rai, Pariksha Limbu, Sabbu Gurung, Ravindra Jha, Prakash Ghimire, Prem Subba, Kavita Ale, Sundar Dhital, and Sujan Khatiwada. Saput portrays Bhimesen Pokhrel, while Limbu plays Dilasa Rai.
The music of the film is composed by Prashant Shivakoti and Hercules Basnet, and the cinematography is done by Sushant Prajapati. Presented by Planet Three Films and co-produced by Nepcine and Yolo Entertainment, the film is produced by Regina Bist and Sansar Choulagai. The film will be distributed in Nepal by RR Films Pvt. Ltd. and its digital rights have been acquired by OSR Digital. Saltini is set to be released on the 3rd of Ashoj, 2082, coinciding with the Constitution Day.
