“Viral Gorkhe Set for Nationwide Release on Jestha 30”
Kathmandu – The release date for the film Viral Gorkhe, directed by Nigam Shrestha, has been officially announced. The producers unveiled the film’s poster on Friday, confirming that it will hit theaters nationwide on Jestha 30 (mid-June).
One of the posters features actor Saugat Malla going live on social media after going viral, while another showcases a romantic moment between him and actress Shristi Shrestha.
The film aims to satirize the growing obsession with going viral on social media. “As social media usage and influence continue to rise, people are willing to do anything to gain viral fame,” said director Shrestha. “Our film revolves around this trend, exploring the consequences and impact of chasing internet fame.”
Produced under The GMI Academy and Nirvana Film School, the movie features actors Buddhi Tamang, Laxmi Giri, Rajaram Poudel, and Rishi Dhamala. The film is produced by Vishal Tamrakar, Mahesh Lamichhane, and Kewaljung Kunwar, with Bhuvan Adhikari and Nikhil Poudel as co-producers.
Cinematographer Amar Maharjan has beautifully captured the film, which was shot in Bhujung village of Lamjung, Gorkha, and Chitwan.
