“All of Us Are Dead” Breaks Record for Longest Wait Between Seasons – Part 2 Now Pushed to 2026

Mar 04, 2025

Fans of All of Us Are Dead will have to wait even longer than expected for the second season of the popular Netflix zombie thriller. Initially planned for a 2025 release, the premiere has now been pushed to 2026, setting a new record for the longest gap between seasons of any Netflix original series.

While other shows like Squid Game and Stranger Things also faced delays, none had as lengthy a break as All of Us Are Dead. The delay is attributed to various production challenges, but fans will have to hold tight a little longer before diving back into the chaos of the zombie apocalypse.

Filming was originally expected to begin in 2024, with a 2025 release still possible. However, production has since been delayed further to ensure a higher quality season, ultimately pushing the premiere date to 2026. Netflix also confirmed the delay by leaving the series out of its 2025 promotional lineup.

Despite the setback, All of Us Are Dead remains one of Netflix’s most successful non-English language shows, ranking as the second most-watched Korean series on the platform, just behind Squid Game. The series follows high school students trapped in their school after a sudden zombie outbreak, highlighting both thrilling horror and real-world issues faced by students globally.

Based on the webtoon Jigeum Woori Hakkyoneun by Joo Dong-geun, the show stars Park Ji Hu, Yoon Chan Young, Cho Yi Hyun, and more. Even with the long wait, fans can expect a powerful return when the series finally drops in 2026.
