Kesari 2: Akshay Kumar Returns with Another Power-Packed Historical Drama

Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar is set to bring history back to life with Kesari Chapter 2: The Untold Story of Jallianwala Bagh, the highly anticipated sequel to the 2019 hit Kesari. The film, directed by Karan Singh Tyagi, will hit theaters on April 18, 2025.

Unlike the first installment, which showcased the heroic Battle of Saragarhi, Kesari 2 shifts focus to the Jallianwala Bagh massacre and the legal battle fought by C. Sankaran Nair, a lawyer who took on the British Raj. The film is inspired by the book “The Case That Shook The Empire”.

Joining Akshay in this gripping courtroom drama are R. Madhavan and Ananya Panday, adding depth to the narrative. The teaser, which dropped on March 24, has already stirred excitement, featuring intense courtroom confrontations and a glimpse of the dark chapters of India’s colonial history.
