Samay Raina’s ‘Unfiltered’ Shows in Delhi Canceled Amid India’s Got Latent Controversy: Here’s What We Know
Samay Raina and his show India’s Got Latent have been at the center of controversy since February 2025. Following backlash over inappropriate comments made by Ranveer Allahbadia and Apoorva Mukhija, both the show and its creators have faced intense scrutiny. While legal proceedings are ongoing, Samay is still feeling the aftereffects of the controversy, as two of his scheduled shows in Delhi have been canceled.
As reported by Hindustan Times, Samay’s Unfiltered shows, which were set to take place at Delhi’s Talkatora Stadium on March 21 and March 23, 2025, have now been canceled. The tickets for both shows were sold out on BookMyShow, but just days before the event, attendees received messages informing them of the cancellation.
A message from BookMyShow read, “Your Samay Raina Unfiltered – Talkatora Stadium Show scheduled on Fri Mar 21 2025 (or Sun Mar 23 2025) 7:00 PM at Talkatora Stadium Delhi has been cancelled. Sorry for the inconvenience caused. We have processed the refund for the amount… The refund should reflect in 7 to 10 working days.”
The reasons for the cancellation have not been officially clarified by either BookMyShow or Samay Raina.
This comes after similar cancellations of Samay’s shows in Gujarat due to the backlash over controversial remarks made during an episode of India’s Got Talent. Following comments by Ranveer and Apoorva, including a problematic question about parental s*x and an inappropriate remark about the female anatomy, both creators, along with others like Ashish Chanchlani, faced intense criticism. Celebrities and politicians slammed the show for promoting inappropriate content, and multiple FIRs were filed against those involved. In response to the uproar, Samay removed all episodes of India’s Got Latent from YouTube.
