New Delhi: After its re-release, the 2016 film Sanam Teri Kasam has been performing remarkably well at the box office. When it was first released, the film faced significant failure at the box office, but in its second run, it has made history. A sequel to the film has already been announced, with Harshvardhan Rane set to star. However, the main female lead will be Pakistani actress Mawra Hocane.
Mawra was selected after around 225 actresses were rejected for the role in Sanam Teri Kasam. Fans are excited to see Mawra in the sequel. Therefore, I hold the rights to create sequels, prequels, or remakes.” He also mentioned that he had announced the sequel with Harshvardhan Rane in September 2024 but clarified that the original directors had not been consulted about the sequel.
