Dayahang Rai and Vijay Baral Starrer ‘Barishtha Balaram’ Begins Filming with Auspicious Ceremony

Kathmandu – The shooting of the film Barishtha Balaram, starring Dayahang Rai and Vijay Baral in lead roles, officially commenced on Sunday. Before the filming began, a ritual ceremony was held at the Budhanilkantha Temple to mark an auspicious beginning.

This will be the fourth directorial project for Surendra Poudel, who is also an experienced film editor. He has previously directed Aabhash, Kri, and Baabari. The film is being produced by Ashish H. Tamang and Shriraj Karki.

Scheduled for release on Kartik 3 (during the Laxmi Puja festival in Tihar), the movie features a stellar cast, including Samriddhi Aryal, Gaumaya Gurung, Pashupati Rai, Mao Tse Gurung, Pradeep Chaudhary, and Rambabu Regmi.

Directed and edited by Poudel, the film’s screenplay is written by Mahesh Dawadi. Varishtha Balaram is based on a social narrative and will be shot in Chitwan and Hetauda, with Man Krishna Maharjan as the cinematographer.

The film also boasts an impressive technical team, with Taranath Nyaupane as the chief assistant director, music by Prashant Shivakoti, action choreography by Samrat Basnet, and dance direction by Pradeep Lama. Varishtha Balaram is a joint production of Vrishabh Siddhi Entertainment and Aanvi Films.
